Blackjack still is the most popular casino game. The reasons are simple: Blackjack game is very easy to learn, and by using the winning blackjack strategy a player can reduce the casino's edge and get an advantage.
The origin of the game Blackjack is still in dispute to this day, but can be traced back to several European card games. It is rumored that the french games Chem de Fer, French Ferme and Vingt-Un (21) may be the source of this popular casino game. The French game Vingt-Un ("21") is certainly the most promising sounding candidate for the original Blackjack. The goal of this game was to get or reach a "Natural" -- cards totalling 21 the cards were actually dealt in rounds followed by betting each round.
The game started to appear in the United States since the early 19th century. When the game was first introduced in America, it wasn't very popular. There it was known as "21" until the late 1940's when American casinos, to attract more players to the card game tables, tried special bonus payouts for this card game. On such bonus was a 10-to-1 payout if the player's hand consisted of the Ace of Spades and a Black Jack (either the Jack of Clubs or the Jack of Spades). This hand was called a "blackjack" for obvious reasons and the name stuck even though the bonus payout was soon abolished.
The Objective of the blackjack game.
The game of blackjack is played with one or more decks of cards. At the online casinos there are black jack game tables with 1 to 8 decks of 52 cards. Each card has a certain point value and the objective of blackjack is to accumulate cards that add up closer to 21 than that of the dealer, without going over 21.("busting"). The suits of the cards do not have any meaning. If the value of your hand is closer to 21 than that of the dealer you win. If the value of the dealer's hand is higher than yours you lose. If the hands are of equal value the deal is a push and your money is returned. If you have a total of 22 or higher (a busted hand), you lose regardless of whether the dealer also busts. Black jack - If your first two cards have a total value of 21, you have been dealt a blackjack. A blackjack, therefore, is an ace and any ten-valued card and you will win as long as the dealer does not have a blackjack too.
Keep in mind that “BlackJack” beats a score of 21 consisting of 3 or more cards.

But this description is not enough correct. The real objective of blackjack is to beat the dealer's hand by any way:
- having a total that exceeds the dealer's total score
- not going over 21 when the dealer does (bust) this does not required to accumulate cards as much close to 21. You can win even when your total only 12 or 13.
Card Values.
A face card (Jack, Queen, King) counts 10 points
An ace can count as 1 or 11 depending on the player's preference
Cards from 2 to 10 count as their face value
